No Fear Factor for Me!

Editors note: So this was posted originally by Kyle and Megan, cause I was accidently logged in to my gmail account at their houase. Hence, Megan pulled the blog and added the post. Because of mothers day I'll keep this posted for Megan and soon to be official mother. Of course it's probably a little more interesting than anything I've written in the past month... See if you can figure out why that is... :)

So we were originally going to treat ourselves to lunch at Tucanos today, but we kind of forgot because I took an afternoon nap and we were just busy running errands. Anyway, I was talking to our friend Justin online later in the afternoon, and he asked how Tucanos was. I replied we didn't go, and he suggested we go for dinner. The handful of times I have been to Tucanos, it has always been for lunch simply because it is $7 less expensive, but I figured this will probably be the last time we go there, so why not? I had gone two years ago for my birthday, and I was very sad that they never banged the drums and sang to me that time. I was hoping for a better experience this time around. Well, it was definitely a fun time. For starters, one of the waiters dropped a piece of garlic sirloin in my water! Then a few waiters started coming our way with the drums and a special dessert treat, but then I realized they were going to a different table. I got my hopes up a little bit, but then they asked if anyone else had a birthday in the area, so I stood up to so everyone could look at my huge belly. I was excited that I was finally included in the birthday festivities until I didn't get the little sundae. I didn't want to pry the waitress and make her go get me one, but at the same time I was disappointed. A little later one of the waiters brought around chicken hearts. After one quick look, I turned my head in disgust! Apparently the waiter wanted to torment me, and he scraped one on to my plate . . . sick! Well, I decided that it would be cool to say that I had eaten chicken heart, so I started to cut the heart in half with my fork. That didn't work because it was too tough, so I had to get the knife too. I told Kyle that he had to eat the other half with me. He put it in his mouth first, and then it was mine turn. Seriously after 1/10 of a second of placing it in my mouth, I started to gag. Our friends were saying, just don't eat it, but I wasn't going to just spit it back out. Oh my goodness, it was so gross! They brought by some yummy pineapple soon after this horrid experience, but I still felt sick to my stomach. Baby didn't like it either, I could just tell. Now we were at the end of our meal, and then some more drums came. They made me stand up again so they could sing to me! But this time, I got the dessert. Hooray! Anyway, I was still feeling pretty sick on the way home, and our kind friends in the back seat just kept making gagging noises (boys will be boys!) Well, I got home, and within a matter of minutes, my stomach rid itself of the chicken heart poison. Never again will I eat chicken heart! Kyle had even tasted it before, and he said it was MUCH worse than he remembered it being. All in all, I came to the marvelous conclusion that I don't ever want to go on Fear Factor because I would probably just gag everything up!

Tales from the Crypt (Branbury)

So I'm in my room doing homework and lo and behold I hear drops in the bathroom, like something leaking. I ignored it for about 2-3 minutes until it got louder. I turned on the light and saw a stream of yellow "water" coming down for the ceiling fan right onto the floor. I rushed and found an empty cooler and put it under the stream and went upstairs to let them know.

The guy at the door was in the livingroom with a girl; looked like a little date. I said, pointing towards the bathrooms "Umm, not sure if you knew already, but, is your bathroom flooding? Cause it's coming down pretty bad downstairs." It was just him and her and he said he hadn't "been in there" the whole night. Sure enough, we got there and there was toilet water all the way up to the carpet, about 2 inches deep of water. He started to take care of it, in disgust mostly because he had a date there at the time. I started to leave, and the girl in the front room, with a disgusted look on her face asked if it was flooded back there. I conferred her worst nightmare. I think she secretly did it or something. I told her her food looked good and then I left! :)

Who does this...??!!

So I'm at Maceys w/ my roommate Sam getting some food... I buy my stuff, and we start leaving. On the way out I noticed the Red Box was open (which it rarely is) and I start the process of reviewing the movies. Just as I'm going to the next page this lady, probabably 30 years old holding a kid, comes and stands next to me and asks, "Oh, I just got here, I already know what I want, can I just get it real fast?"... I was shocked! I stood back, waved her towards the machine and watched her go through all 5 pages or so, w/ out finding the one she "already knew she wanted".

After she said, "ummm, wow, where is it?" I just left w/ my roommate, and kind of said under my breath to my roommate (and hopefully w/ in ear shot of the lady), "Who does that?"

Ok, so seriously, it's not a huge deal or anything, but this brings up another point I've found to be true with a certain abundant amount of people; Courteousness, awareness and respect simply are not principles many choose to heed. Why do people do these things?

What probably gets me most of all though, is she has no idea what's going on and she'll be dumb for the rest of her life.

About Me...

So I'm from Orange California. Yes, Orange is a city in the county of Orange. It's what the county's named for. We have an original orange tree in the back yard that reminds me of the roots of my city.

I was born to Bonnie and Ron Dennison. I was the best thing to ever happen to them, (right?). I was born in Glendale CA, then moved to Palmdale for 4 years then eventually settled in Orange.

My parents liked me so much they didn't want to share me with anyone and decided to not have any more kids. (No, it wasn't weird be an only child, but bro's and Sis's would've been fun)

So I grew up in the church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, to be exact. I served a mission to Monterrey, Mexico and am now in a singles ward in Utah. (So much fun, Sike!)

I'm currently working at a software company in the Quality Assurance department. I basically test software all day. It's not as bad as you'd think., especially when they keep a pantry full of food for you. Which can be a good or bad thing depending on the situation.

I'm going to school, still... But I'll graduate with a business management degree in April of 08.

For fun: Volleyball's my #1 sport. I love playing and would love to coach a team some day. Football's my #1 watching sport. BYU is my fav college team. That's mostly because my father was a huge fan, and well, like father like son I guess. Baseball... ummm, yea, moving on. Pro Football would have to be my last favorite sport (if that even makes sense).

Music: I play guitar, Drums and Bass. I currently play bass for the band "Hangman of the Hero". Yea, it's about a hero that played hangman, I guess... I like Indie, Hardcore (not so often though) and a lot of other stuff.

Well that's me in a nutshell of 8 paragraphs. Be prepared to have sandcastles built in your mind, or somethin...
